No. MIT AI Conference is in-person only and will not be livestreamed. The format is intentionally intimate — the real value is in the conversations that happen in the room.
Registration opens at 8:15 AM, with content beginning at 9:00 AM. Presentations end by 6:00 PM, followed by a closing happy hour until 7:00 PM.

Presentations come in several formats — keynotes, fireside chats, panels, and talks. Most run 30–40 minutes.
Casual.
Coffee, tea and matcha will be available from the start of the event until 4:15 PM. We will also have lunch, light afternoon snacks, and mocktails during the happy hour. Please note that breakfast and dinner will not be served.
Free parking is available at the museum. 12 Supercharger stalls are also available.
To reach the Computer History Museum by public transit, your main hub is the Mountain View Transit Center (also known as the Mountain View Caltrain Station). From there, a few options bridge the ~2-mile gap to the museum:
- Free Community Shuttle — the Mountain View Community Shuttle is free and open to everyone. It picks up directly outside the Mountain View station and drops you near the museum.
- VTA Route 40 bus (fastest transit) — take the Santa Clara VTA Line 40 from the transit center and get off at Shoreline & Pear, a short walk from the museum entrance. The ride takes roughly 8–14 minutes.
- Regional connections to Mountain View — from San Francisco / the Peninsula, take Caltrain southbound to Mountain View Station; from San Jose / the South Bay, take the VTA Orange Line light rail to the Mountain View Transit Center.
We have a room block at the Shashi Hotel located at 1625 N Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View, CA 94043, a few minutes’ walk from the museum. Rooms must be booked by October 5, 2026 to be eligible for the discounted rate. King rooms are available for a 1 or 2-night stay October 16 - 18 at $209 USD per night plus taxes and fees. Yes. Tickets are fully transferable at no charge up to two weeks before the event via Luma. After that date, transfers are no longer accepted.
No. All tickets must be purchased in advance through Luma. The conference has sold out in previous years — register early.
No refunds are provided. If you cannot attend, transfer your ticket to another person. We recommend purchasing only if you are confident in your attendance.

Yes. A limited number of student tickets are available. MIT students and postdocs can also apply to the AI Hackathon, which includes complimentary conference access.
