Ann Miura-Ko

Ann Miura-Ko is a co-founding partner of Floodgate, the seed-stage venture firm she launched in 2008 with Mike Maples Jr. Floodgate's first checks have backed Lyft, Twitch, Applied Intuition, Hebbia, Nooks, SmarterDX,  Okta, and dozens more category-defining companies. She has been named to the Forbes Midas List multiple years.                 Ann holds a PhD from Stanford in mathematical modeling of computer security and an undergraduate degree from Yale. She co-directs the Mayfield Fellows Program, Stanford's premier nine-month entrepreneurship fellowship for top undergraduates, and teaches MS&E 275, a course on how to build AI-native startups taught in the School of Engineering.  Her current investing thesis centers on what she calls the AI-pilled organization, companies where AI is the operational substrate from which the entire business is rebuilt.
