What Could MIT do if it had an Unlimited Workforce of AI Agents?
2:50 PMHahn AuditoriumFor the next 30 minutes, we’re turning the conference over to you. Hundreds of attendees will break into roundtables and tackle one of two real challenges facing the MIT community. Each table will have a captain, 15 minutes, and one goal: come up with an idea worth building. CHALLENGE 1: Reimagining MIT Alumni Engagement How could MIT use AI agents to better engage and serve its 150,000+ alumni around the world? Imagine every alum having a personalized connection to MIT: discovering cutting-edge research, knowing what’s happening on campus, accessing lifelong learning and career development, and finding the right MIT resources when they need them. Now flip the question: how could MIT better tap the extraordinary capabilities of its alumni for industry connections, research collaboration, student mentoring and jobs, philanthropy, public service, and more? What becomes possible when engagement can be personal, proactive, and available at massive scale? CHALLENGE 2: Connecting MIT Founders How could AI agents turn MIT’s global founder network into a connected, always-on entrepreneurial community? Imagine an MIT founder being able to find the right alum at exactly the right moment: a peer who has solved the same problem, an early design partner, potential customer, collaborator, co-founder, mentor, investor, or industry expert. How could AI help create those connections and accelerate the journey from dorm to market, lab to market, and alum to alum? This challenge builds on MIT’s new vision for accelerating entrepreneurship and translation, including deeper alumni connectivity and activating MIT’s founder network as a resource for students, researchers, and one another. Then, we build. Each table will submit its strongest idea. The best concepts may become future MIT AI hackathon challenges and real experiments. Hundreds of minds. Two MIT challenges. 15 minutes. What would you build? Hosted by: Arun Saigal & Esther Lee Table Captains: Bridget Brett Khanh Dang Nick Meyer Ramesh Raskar Teddy Lee
