Daniel Huttenlocher

Dan Huttenlocher is the inaugural Dean of the MIT Schwarzman College of Computing, where he leads one of the most significant academic initiatives in computing and AI, bridging technical AI research with its ethical, policy, and societal implications. A distinguished computer scientist, he previously served as Founding Dean of Cornell Tech in New York City, building a top-ranked technology graduate school from the ground up. His research contributions include pioneering work on computer vision and the Hausdorff distance algorithm widely used in image processing. He serves on the boards of Amazon and Corning.
