Andrew Clare

Andrew Clare is Nuro’s Chief Technology Officer, and leads the team responsible for the software, design, sourcing, manufacturing, and validation of Nuro’s self-driving, zero-occupant, on-road vehicles. Prior to Nuro, Andrew was Staff Program Manager for Tesla’s Model X Vehicle Program, which was awarded the 2016 Golden Steering Wheel, one of the most prestigious automotive awards in Europe. Andrew earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics, as well as his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow. He is a co-author on 5 technical journal articles and nine conference papers.
