Surya Ganguli

Dr. Surya Ganguli is a renowned researcher and professor at Stanford University with expertise in neural networks, deep learning, and theoretical physics. He holds four degrees from MIT: three Bachelor's in Mathematics, Physics, and Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, and a Master's in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science. Dr. Ganguli is currently an Associate Professor of Applied Physics at Stanford, with courtesy appointments in Neurobiology, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. In addition to his academic work, he currently serves as a venture partner at A16Z advising on artificial intelligence, and has previously been a deep learning researcher at both Google AI and Meta AI. Dr. Ganguli's influential interdisciplinary research spans machine learning, theoretical neuroscience, and physics with numerous high-impact publications across these fields.
