Dr. Rania Khalaf

Rania Khalaf is the Chief Information and Data Officer at Cambridge-based Inari, the SEEDesign™ company using AI-powered predictive design and multiplex gene editing to help build a more sustainable global food system. Rania leads the company's engineering, data, AI and IT capabilities at the foundation of Inari's cutting-edge technology platform. She has an extensive, multi-decade track record of leading and delivering award-winning innovation in cloud-native AI platforms, human-centered AI, serverless computing and web services, including as Director of AI Platforms at IBM Research. A board member of the Hariri Institute for Computing at Boston University, Rania earned master's and bachelor's degrees from MIT and a Ph.D. from the University of Stuttgart.
